Europe is positioning itself as China's supplier or both power stations and the technology and expertise required to get rid of the pollution they create.

China's increasing energy needs have created two effects which have spread beyond its borders - demand for resources and environmental impact. The first has contributed to rising international energy prices, something for which China's voracious appetite is partially but not wholly responsible.
