World Courier recently announced the opening of its latest purpose-built, ISO-certified, GMP-compliant investigational drug storage depot in Beijing. This is a one-stop logistics solution to biopharmaceutical companies with clinical trial materials storage — the standards for which can be very demanding — and distribution needs.

This state-of-the-art, temperature-controlled facility completes the company's cold chain transportation network, which now extends to all 36 cities currently approved by the Chinese State Food and Drug Administration to host clinical trials.

The new depot has storage  in temperature-controlled settings which range from +25°C to -70°C.

The service incudes validated storage areas for drugs, diagnostic kits and medical devices; 24-hour client access to inventories via live password-protected Internet feed; transport of all investigational drugs and supplies from country of origin to the depot; immediate delivery of specified drugs kits from the depot to in-country locations; drug return & destruction management; and complete logistics chain management.
