China’s top anti-corruption body told the Ministry of Industry and Information (MIIT) that it must adopt a “zero tolerance” policy toward corruption, Reuters reported, citing a notice published on the China Central Discipline Inspection Committee website. Employees at the state agency responsible regulating telecoms, IT and the internet must self-report the misuse of public funds and illegal payments to the corruption watchdog, which is increasingly focused on government agencies and SOEs as part of president Xi Jinping’s anti-graft crackdown.
