Event overview

Facing a global financial crisis it is unclear how great the need for debt collecting options will be in the foreseeable future. Financial managers need to consider the options open to them and discover new means of reaching their financial goals.

Outstanding payments are a typical source of concern for a financial department. Collecting a debt is often a hard challenge with clients within the same country. International debts pose a higher obstacle, since it is often unclear how to proceed. Cultural differences distance and diverse legal systems make an international debt collection a big issue for corporations that need constant cash flows for their investments.

China Economic Review’s “International Debt Collection Conference” will address the issues of collecting trade debt in diverse business cultural settings. Selected speakers and experts in international debt collection will guide attendees through patterns of collecting processes abroad and will make clear how to determine the rate of successful recovery depending upon the legal entity being pursued.
