Meeting overview
Boosting reputation and customer satisfaction is a key success factor to face the financial crisis and the tightened economy. Companies need to provide superior products and services, in order to overcome the common perception that “made in China” products are made to low quality standards.
Surveys and research demonstrate that most Chinese firms still lack a full understanding of strategic quality management. The few companies who are able to fully apply quality planning and total quality management strategies are clearly shown to reach superior performance levels.
Also foreign companies established in China have to face the problem of a culture where quality standards and processes are much different and being able to communicate to employees a set of different quality values is a key success factor.
To further the quality movement in China, quality managers and professionals should take a leading role in promoting contemporary, strategic quality management concepts and practices.
China Economic Review’s “Quality Management Conference” will focus on how improvements through people, processes and performance evaluation trigger improved quality of products and services, improved reputation and customer satisfaction.
Quality management experts will explain the major challenges to overcome for applying quality management strategies in China, including people management, processes and products developments, cost and performance reviews.
