Marco Polo opens in Beijing

Another luxury hotel in Beijing opened last month - the 10-storey Marco Polo Beijing in the city's financial district. The hotel contains 296 guest rooms and suites and is located at Xidan intersection close the headquarters of the Bank of China.

The Marco Polo Hotel Group, a subsidiary of The Wharf (Holdings), has seven properties in Asia, including three in Hong Kong and one in Xiamen, Fujian province. The group plans to increase its Asia total to 15, including new hotels for mainland China.
