Fuzhou opening slated for 2004

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts announced that it will open a hotel in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province, in early 2004. The 416- room property will be situated in the centre of the city, overlooking the main Wuyi Square. The US$70m new property will be majority owned by Shangri-La Asia.

Another new hotel has opened in the Pudong district of Shanghai. The 222-room Ramada Plaza, situated 13km from Pudong airport, has extensive sports facilities, including an indoor swimming pool. It forms part of the Civil Aviation Mansion complex, which also contains offices.
