China's big three airlines cut losses

China's three biggest airlines had combined losses of Yn80m in 2001, narrowing from a loss of Yn350m in 2000, according to the State Economic and Trade Commission. The three are Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines. Air China claimed to have reversed three years of losses to book a profit of about Yn34m in 2001.
