Lufthansa signs MOU with Shanghai

Shanghai Airlines and Lufthansa have signed a memorandum of understanding on greater co-operation in a variety of areas, including sales, marketing and services. The two airlines said they hoped the agreement would create a framework to facilitate code- sharing. However, such a development would require regulatory approval and the Chinese government is thought unlikely to allow the German airline to code-share on services within China in the near future.
