The Shangri-La Dingshan has achieved ascendancy in Nanjing's hotel market, a little over a year after the Shangri-La group took over its management, according to the property's general manager Kieran Twomey. The hotel has recently achieved occupancy levels of around 75 per cent, he said, 10 per cent higher than the city average.

The Dingshan has a garden setting and is part of a complex that also includes serviced apartments, long-stay residences and Nanjing's only international school.
