China is likely to regain its status as the largest garment supplier to the US by 2010, according to a report cited by Textile Asia. Mexico has been America's biggest clothing supplier since 1997, following the creation of the Nafta free trade area between the US, Mexico and Canada. However, China's accession to the WTO should enable it to overtake Mexico by 2010, according to the report, with a market share of 12.6 per cent to Mexico's 12 per cent.
