KFC opens first drive-through

American fried chicken giant KFC opened China's first drive-through restaurant in September. Built at a cost of nearly US$1.2m, the new outlet is situated in an affluent northern suburb of Beijing, between a supermarket and an electrical goods store. The company said it had plans to open drive-throughs in three other Chinese cities.
