Co-operation in Indonesian port

Chinese investors are interested in co-operating with the state harbour management company PT Pelabuhan Indonesia to build a container port in the Karingau area of northern Balikpapan in Indonesia, Maritime Asia said. A spokesman from PT Pelabuhan said that a Chinese delegation would soon visit the area to conduct a feasibility study. Funds for the port would come from the Asian Development Bank and some private investors.
