Forum to improve relations with Spain

China and
Spain have set up a special forum to help improve bilateral exchanges between the two
countries in politics, economics, cul-ture and sports, Xinhua reported. The forum was
founded to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of political ties between the two
countries and the opening ceremony in Beijing was attended by the Spanish for-eign
mimster, Ana Palacio.
The joint chairmen of the forum are Ho Qili, former vice-
chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative
Conference and Juan Antonio Saramanch, former president of the Interna-tional Olympic
Committee.
