China-US business mediation centers established

The China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the US CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution opened their China-US Business Mediation Centers in Beijing and New York, providing a new option for resolving business disputes between companies from the two countries.

The CPR Institute is a nonprofit alliance including law firms, public institutions and corporations including General Motors, Pfizer and Intel.

The US is China's second largest trading partner after Japan.
