Chinese troops sent to Liberia

China sent a transport team of 180 peacekeeping troops to Liberia in western Africa, its second group of troops sent to the country since December 2003. The transport team is charged with transporting supplies and personnel to support the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Liberia.
