Shanghai's Formula One racetrack, the first in China, has been essentially completed, city authorities said in a statement. The only work that remains to be done is to paint lines on the track, the statement said. The 5.4-kilometer circuit will host China's first F1 race on September 26, an event expected to draw almost 200,000 spectators to the site. A team from the Federation Internationale de L'Automobile is due to inspect the site soon.
