Interbrew takes stake in brewery

Interbrew SA of Belgium said it agreed to pay US$53.2 million for a 70% stake in Zhejiang Shiliang Brewery, reportedly giving it nearly half the market in what it called one of eastern China's wealthiest regions - the Yangtze delta. The purchase is expected to be finalized later in the summer. Interbrew's best known imported brands include Stella Artois and Beck's.
