Foreign expertise in farm sector

China's agriculture sector could use foreign expertise, Vice Premier Hui Liangyu told World Food Prize Foundation Chairman Norman Borlaug. Hui said China is a big agricultural nation and modernizing its farm sector was a top priority. But China had already come a long way since the 1970s, he said. Despite having only 9% of the world's arable land, China could feed 21% of the world's population.
