Ford plans new factory

Ford Motor plans to build a factory to produce cars with affiliate Mazda Motor in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. Ford signed the deal with Chinese partner Changan Ford Automobile. The plant will produce eight car models based on Mazda designs. Analysts said that construction of the new facility is part of a US$1.5 billion Ford strategy to gain a larger piece of the China auto market.
