Warning over expansion of macro controls

The State Development and Reform Commission said China's economy would grow by 9% this year, a change from its earlier estimate of 7.2%. Secretary General Cao Yushu said that if GDP growth exceeded that, macroeconomic control measures to cool the economy should be expanded. Many problems causing parts of the economy to overheat remained, he said.
