Huawei wins Brazil, Chile Net deals

Shenzhen-based Huawei Technologies won a mandate to supply high-speed Internet routers to the Brazilian and Chilean subsidiaries of Spanish telecoms giant Telefonica. The financial terms were not disclosed. Reports suggested the deals would allow Huawei to gain a foothold in the Latin America's fast-growth telecom equipment market. Huawei now operates in 50 overseas markets.
