New BMW JV in first recall

Bloomberg reported that Shenyang-based BMW Brilliance Automotive, BMW's first joint venture in Asia (with Brilliance China Automotive Holdings), will recall 1,685 BMW 5-series cars to fix faulty seat heating mats. Bloomberg did not spell out what the problem was, but said BMW claimed the fault had not caused any accidents "in China". The recall is part of a worldwide recall involving 52,200 vehicles.
