European Tour announces China tournament

The European Tour announced that a fifth golf tournament, the TCL Classic, will be played in China in the 2005 season as part of a push to develop golf's profile on the Chinese mainland. The tournament is to be held at the Yalong Bay Golf Club on the southern island of Hainan March 17-20. European Tour chief George O'Grady said he was looking forward to changing the game's image from a rich-man's game to a sport all Chinese people can play.
