London is to open its first trade offices abroad both of them in China. The new offices designed to promote finance, investment, tourism and educational links with the British capital will open in Beijing and Shanghai, London Mayor Ken Livingstone announced. "We would be mad, as China becomes the largest economy in the world over the next century, not for them to see London as their base into Europe," he said.
