China growing GE rice illegally: Greenpeace

Greenpeace says "rogue" scientists in the Hubei province are illegally growing genetically engineered rice, which, if untested, could cause allergic reactions in humans. Concerned that GE crops could reduce biodiversity and cause long-term health problems, the environmental group says the scientists are manipulating the "world's most important staple crop" without Beijing's approval.
