China to investigate Greenpeace claims

As Greenpeace called a global recall of genetically modified rice, the ministry of agriculture said it would investigate claims that GM rice had been selling in China. Greenpeace said it found the rice being grown and sold illegally in Hubei province. Xinhua reported GM rice was being grown on a pilot basis in Hubei as China weighs propspects for it commercialization.
