Chinese textbooks see Beijing as "always correct"

Just after President Hu Jintao and Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi met for a fence-mending session over the ongoing Sino-Japan dispute over false history teaching, Japanese Education Minister Nobutaka Machimura hit out at China's schoolbooks, noting, "from the perspective of a Japanese person, Chinese textbooks appear to teach that everything the Chinese government has done has been correct." He said every country likes to polish its official story, but China had gone over the top.
