Strategic oil reserve to be completed by year's end

China is expected to complete construction of the first phase of a new strategic oil reserve by the end of the year, when oil will be flowing into the site, state media reported, quoting senior government officials on Tuesday. The crude will come from domestic supplies and will not have a major impact on international oil markets. The initial reserve will be in Jiangsu province.
