UPS to open first mainland hub

In an expansion bid in Asia's top logistics market, United Parcel Service said it would open its first mainland cargo hub in Shanghai, marking the first steps to launching a domestic Chinese express-delivery service this year, the Wall Street Journal reported. UPS rival FedEx is said to be announcing its plans to open a Chinese hub soon. DHL a unit of Deutsche Post AG of Germany, owns a third of the China's market; FedEx's has 20% and UPS 15%.
