Economic slowdown looming: official

China has entered a mild economic slowdown that may last one to two years, according to Chen Dongqi, deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission's Macroeconomic Institute. GDP grew 9.4% year-on-year in the first quarter, but the commission's half-year estimates predict a slower second quarter. The estimates were not provided.
