Aeon may build Chinese shopping mall

As more Chinese buy cars, Aeon, Japan's largest retail group, will study a plan to build a US-style suburban mall in the Mainland - possibly in Beijing - with parking lots to accommodate several thousand vehicles, the Agence France-Presse reported, citing a company spokesman. Working with Beijing-based developer Zhong Guan Cun, Aeon aims to open its first mall in China by 2008.
