China to build 10 nuclear reactors

China Power Investment Corp (CPIC), one of China's biggest power companies, plans to build ten 1,000-megawatt nuclear reactors on the Mainland's northeastern coast six in Shangdong province and four in Liaoning province. Preliminary project approvals have been granted by the central government, although there is no construction timeline and no decision on what technology the reactors would use.
