Airbus sells 20 jets to China

China has signed a contract to buy 20 A330 jets worth US$3.1bn from European aircraft maker Airbus, enlarging its fleet to meet the growing domestic demand for travel. According to Agence France-Presse reports, the new planes will go to Air China. The deal comes despite most Chinese airlines predicting losses in their first half earnings due to high oil prices.
