China, US to hold first strategic dialogue

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo and US Deputy Secretary of State Robert Zoellick will hold the first China-US strategic dialogue in Beijing on August 1, state media reported, citing a Foreign Ministry official. The scheduled dialogue resulted from an agreement reached between the two heads of state during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Chile last year.
