Chinese women in space by 2010

Chinese women astronauts will embark on space missions by 2010, working as flight commanders or on-board engineers, China Daily reported, citing Hu Shixiang, deputy chief commander of China's Manned Space Programme. At least four female astronauts will be selected in a process that will formally begin next year, and reportedly, some of the 30 or so female pilots chosen by China's air force will be among
the future astronauts.
