CNPC to sell stake in Petro Kazakhstan

China National Petroleum Corp. is in negotiations to sell a 33% to 50% stake in PetroKazakhstan Inc., a Canadian company, just weeks after buying it for US$4.18 billion, reported the Wall Street Journal. The new buyer will be state-owned oil company KazMunaiGaz. CNPC acquired the company in August.
