China to let brokers offer ABS trading

The China Securities Regulatory Commission is in the process of selecting 10 domestic brokerages to trade in asset-backed securities, Reuters reported, citing the official China Securities Journal. These securities, which contain stable cash flows are backed by the payment streams from loans or receivables, now trade on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and are a new investment vehicle in China.
