Starbucks announces China education fund

Starbucks announced a US$5 million fund to underwrite education in China, part of an effort to raise its profile in a market the company hopes will be its second largest after the US, the AP reported. Chairman Howard Schultz said the fund reflected the Starbucks philosophy of making money while engaging in socially responsible projects in target markets.
