BOC aims for IPO in Q1

Bank of China, the nation's second-biggest lender, is expected to sell shares in a flotation early next year to match the US$8 billion raised in an October IPO by the smaller China Construction Bank. China's four leading commercial banks have been urged by regulators to restructure into joint-stock companies to strengthen corporate governance and cut bad debt.
