62 dead, 13 missing in mine blast

An explosion at a coal mine under construction in northern Liuguantun in Hebei province has killed 62, reported state media. Another 110 miners were rescued, but 13 were still missing. The Hengyuan Company mine blast comes 10 days after an explosion at the Dongfeng coal mine near Qitaihe city in Heilongjiang that killed 171.
