Chinese 16-19 year-old girls are more ambitious than their Japanese peers, according to the Hakuhodo Institute of Life and Living in Japan, reported the Financial Times. The top five most desired careers of Chinese girls surveyed included president or chief executive of a company, senior management or manager, while Japanese girls wanted to be housewives, flight attendants and childcare workers. The survey was conducted among 200 young men and women in Shanghai and the greater Tokyo area this summer.
