China's trains will carry a record 155 million passengers during the Chinese New Year holiday period, Reuters reported. Ministry of Railways spokesman Wang Yongping said this is because the government did not raise ticket prices this year, attempting to help poor migrant workers. "The migrant workers are supposed to be the biggest beneficiary of the move," he said. The first day of Chinese New Year falls on February 18 this year. The peak travelling period is from February 3 to March 14.
