Beijing rebukes FDA toothpaste warning

China has called an American warning against using Chinese-made toothpaste irresponsible, Reuters reported. "So far we have not received any report of death resulting from using the toothpaste. The US handling [of this case] is neither scientific nor responsible," the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said. The US Food and Drug Administration issued a warning Friday after toothpaste containing diethylene glycol was detected at customs.
