State Council appoints new officials

The State Council, China's cabinet, recently appointed two new high-ranking officials, according to Xinhua (in Chinese) reported. Xu Shaoshi was appointed State Land Inspector-General, replacing Sun Wensheng, and Ren Qiliang was appointed deputy head of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council. Xu will leave his post as deputy secretary-general of the State Council for the new position, which is currently occupied by Sun.
