Lawmakers to hear central budget audit report

The 28th session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) will convene from June 24 to 29, the chairman and vice-chairs of the NPC Standing Committee decided at a meeting on Monday, Xinhua reported (in Chinese). The session will consider the report on the 2006 final accounts and a report on the execution of 2006 central budget. Other issues on the agenda are draft amendments to the Civil Procedural Law, a law on conserving energy and a law on legal practice. Draft laws on labor contracts, anti-monopoly, emergency response and employment promotion and the report of the implementation of Compulsory Education Law will also be discussed.
