Chinese kidnapped in Pakistan freed

Seven Chinese kidnapped in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad were released around 8pm Saturday (Beijing Time), Xinhua reported (in Chinese). A Chinese man and six female employees were abducted from the massage parlor where they worked in Islamabad at midnight on June 22 by Islamic extremists for what they deemed "immoral activities," the Financial Times reported. The hostages arrived at the Chinese embassy in Islamabad. The event will not affect the relationship between two countries, embassy officials said.
