Per Norinder, the managing director of Volvo Car China, will step down from his position, Volvo China’s new CEO Alexander Klose will take his place, Jinghua Shibao reported (in Chinese). Volvo’s Beijing office refused to comment on the affair without first consulting with the car maker's headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. Market analysts said Norinder's resignation was due not only to his age but also to his ineffectiveness as a manager. Klose, is also the president of the Asia Pacific unit of Ford Group, of which Volvo Car Corp is a wholly owned subsidiary.
