Beijing property prices jump 20% in June

According to the statistics released by Beijing Real Estate Exchange Management Net, the average price of residential properties reached US$1,354 per square meter in June, rising 20.4% compared with last month, the Beijing News reported. Among the 24 newly launched projects only six are located in suburban area such as Tongzhou, Changping and Shunyi, others are located in Chongwen, Chaoyang, Fengtai and Haidian districs. Industry analysts believed the high number of projects launched in downtown Beijing was the main cause of the single-month rise.
