Taiwan agribusiness zone launched in Wuhan

A business development zone for Taiwan agricultural investors opened in Wuhan, the capital of central China's Hubei province, last week, China News reported (in Chinese). With a total investment of US$65.8 million, the zone will cover 240 square kilometers, including an industrial base for the storage and processing of strawberries and other produce, technical service and research centers as well as a botanical garden and a field for experimental ecological trials. The project was developed by Mega International, Taiwan and Wuhan Xinbotai Group. Jiang Binkun, vice chairman of the Kuomintang was on hand to observe the opening.
